Inspired by the allure of fragrance, entrepreneur Eugène Fuchs established his own perfume factory under the innovative concept of directly selling perfumes to tourists in the French Riviera. In 1926, the Fragonard perfumery, named after the painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard from Grasse, opened its doors.
