Fragonard was established by entrepreneur Eugène Fuchs, who introduced a revolutionary concept by selling perfumes directly to tourists in the French Riviera. In 1926, the Fragonard perfumery was opened, named after the painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard from Grasse.
