In 1926, the Parfumerie Fragonard, named after the Grasse-born painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, opened its doors. Its natural scents, gentle cosmetics, and beautifully designed packaging quickly gained popularity, leading to an expansion of stores throughout Paris and across France.
